⚠️ Notes – The Steam version of AC Shadows requires us to login through the Ubisoft Connect launcher which is installed when we first launch the game. The overall experience is the same as installing the Ubisoft Connect launcher manually and running the game through Proton.

The graphics settings are locked down on the Steam Deck and cannot be unlocked with SteamDeck=%COMMAND% due to Ubisoft Connect handling the process of the game running and Steam is acting as a merchant passthrough.

Both devices have the game installed to the internal NVMe drive from Steam and Ubisoft Connect.

We are unable to run the in-game benchmark tool due to the graphics settings being locked down.

In conclusion, there is zero difference in overall performance on the Steam Deck with Steam/Ubisoft Connect and both versions work and perform perfectly fine.
