My Script Outline:
Valve put out a video detailing all of the changes they made to the Steam Deck in the first month, and it’s a lot!

I’ve been loving my time with the device, but there’s a few things I would love for Valve to dig into and tweak.

Since they’ve been so good about taking fan feedback and directly implementing it, I figured I’d make a video about a few of my biggest requests.

Less Shader Downloads
I sort of mentioned this before and got a bunch of comments from people saying “this isn’t actually downloading anything, it’s pre-caching the shaders”
So for this video, I went ahead and put that to the test.
I don’t know for what it’s doing, but I DO KNOW that if you enter offline mode while it’s doing these shader updates, they stop immediately and regardless it maxes out your Steam Deck while it’s doing it so you kinda have to sit there and wait for it to finish which is a little annoying
and i’ve seen people say just to disable pre caching in the settings if it bugs you, but i don’t think that’s a good solution since pre-caching stops stuttering that plagues so many games these days
The good thing is if you’re out and about, disconnected from the internet, it’ll just use the shaders you already downloaded
Work on the Verification Process
Mention Horizon Zero Dawn
Mention how games like Arkham Knight say they’re unsupported but work just fine
Maybe introduce a new compatibility option that says “Works with some tweaking” or something too so people don’t just write off games they want to play
Work With Developers to Get Games Running and Verified Before they come out
LEGO Star Wars
Ghostwire Tokyo, etc
Be more transparent about EAC games
Improve the Game Mode UI a Bit
Make it easier to get to achievements menu
Add a plugin for Spotify song switching in the quick menu
Make it easier to quickly pull up a web browser while playing
Release Steam OS for Desktops and Improve Windows Compatibility
