Valve finally revealed the Steam Frame – their new standalone VR headset powered by SteamOS on ARM, full eye-tracking, custom 6 GHz wireless streaming, and the most open expansion system we’ve seen in a consumer VR device.

This isn’t just a VR gaming headset.
It’s basically a PC you wear on your face, with Proton for Windows game translation, FEX for x86-to-ARM translation, Linux apps, Android support, and a massive ecosystem play that ties into the Steam Machine and Valve’s new controller.
