❗️IMPORTANT: Duet Night Abyss is currently not playable officially on the Steam Deck due to an issue introduced with the Steam release that has caused the game’s anti-cheat to stop working correctly on Linux.

The Steam version rollout has been messy and delayed until it finally launched on the 20th January 2026. The anti-cheat is no longer whitelisting the Steam Deck, despite previously working when the game was installed via the standalone launcher added as a non steam game.

At the moment, it is possible to get the game running using a custom Proton version as a temporary workaround. Whether you choose to use this method is entirely up to you until the game receives official Linux / Steam Deck support.

The risk of a ban appears low, but it cannot be completely ruled out, so it is ultimately up to you if you wish to use this method to play.
