IMPORTANT: Arknights: Endfield uses Tencent ACE anti-cheat, which can be a problem short/long term for the game on Steam Deck when new game updates are issued.

I went with this install method after testing a few different approaches, and I am confident that this one will provide the most consistency on the Steam Deck. This method lets us keep full control over the Proton version being used, where the game is installed, and avoids relying on setups that could change or break with future updates, we will always be using the original installer with this method.

The aim with this guide is to ensure long term compatibility over other methods, so the game continues to work on the Steam Deck/Linux, even if the Anti-Cheat tries to block it in the future.
