Denuvo has now been removed from Final Fantasy XVI, although this is not mentioned explicitly in the Patch notes it has been confirmed this is the case.

NOTES – Performance feels a little better although on Steam Deck we still get sharp FPS drops and stutters in the Open World areas and during combat at times.

Linear areas are more comfortable to play in and a 30FPS cap, lowest settings, FSR3/XeSS Performance is recommended for as consistent of an experience as possible.
