NOTES: As of 24/12/25, COD Black Ops Cold War is now playable on Linux/SteamOS with Proton Experimental. While testing for several hours, I was able to play the first mission successfully, however the game would crash after the mission ended, not saving my progress.

I tried multiple other missions and they would not load no matter how many times I tried, the game would just freeze and throw me back to SteamOS. The only other mission that worked for me, was the final mission, weirdly enough.

Online Multiplayer worked after several tries and I played a few games and haven’t been banned, so try this at your own risk. I tested Zombies and I couldn’t get into a game no matter how many times I tried unfortunately.
