Assassin’s Creed 3 – Steam Deck Gameplay and Benchmark #steamdeck

Today we are checking out Assassin’s Creed 3 on the Steam Deck. Assassin’s Creed 3 came out in 2012 and is a fairly heavy game for the Steam Deck. At the highest graphical settings it struggles to maintain 45-50 FPS in the big cities. Reducing the quality to High can get you to 60 FPS, but regardless of graphical quality the battery life is only around 2 hours on the Steam Deck.

You may need to launch and log in to Ubisoft Connect several times before the game finally launches. And you need to log in to Ubisoft Connect every time. This might be an issue for offline play.

Assassin’s Creed 3 supports controller natively and in-game prompts correspond to buttons which is very nice. The game is still a nice experience on the Steam Deck and I recommend picking it up when on sale.
