Hue – FREE ON STEAM – 4 hours of battery life – Steam Deck Gameplay #steamdeck
Today we are taking a look at Hue on the Steam Deck.
Hue is a 2016 puzzle-platform game designed by Henry Hoffman and Dan Da Rocha, developed by Fiddlesticks, and published by Curve Digital. The plot revolves around the protagonist, Hugh, searching for his mother (voiced by Anna Acton) who turned an ‘impossible color’ due to the fracturing of the Annular Spectrum, a ring that she developed to allow perception and alteration of color.
During this journey, the player searches through a black-and-white world, collecting shards of the Annular Spectrum, which will allow the player to make obstacles disappear by switching to the corresponding color on the color wheel. This in turn reveals new pathways and puzzles.[8] As the player progresses, collecting more shards and unlocking more colors, the game’s difficulty increases with more colors being needed to complete puzzles.
The game runs flawlessly on the Deck with over 4 hours of battery life on 60 FPS and even more if you turn it down to 40Hz or 40 FPS. The controls are pretty intuitive and the game is quite fun.
The game is currently free to pick up on Steam! – https://store.steampowered.com/app/383270/Hue/
Footage was captured directly on the Deck using a plugin called Decky Recorder.
