Can the Steam Deck Run Dying Light?

In this video we are taking a look at Dying Light on the Steam Deck. The Deck is running on SteamOS 3.5. Dying Light is a 2015 survival horror video game developed by Techland and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game’s story follows an undercover agent named Kyle Crane who is sent to infiltrate a quarantine zone in a fictional Middle Eastern city called Harran.

The game runs pretty well on the Steam Deck from the get go. I set it up to Proton GE-23, but it also works with older versions or with Proton Experimental. The game is locked at 60 FPS with Medium Settings and NVIDIA HBAO set to OFF and the Steam Deck can last for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The Steam Deck does get pretty hot with these settings. Setting everything to low will result in better temperatures and almost 2 hours of battery life. Dying light is a pretty great experience on the Steam Deck even though my preferred way to play this particular game is with a keyboard and mouse.
