Can the Steam Deck Run Days Gone?

Check out my latest video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eiKoBDAAmVU In this video we are taking a look at Days Gone on the Steam Deck. The Deck is running on SteamOS 3.5. Days Gone is a 2019 action-adventure video game developed by Bend Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4. A Windows port for Days Gone was released in May 2021.Ride and fight into a deadly, post pandemic America. Play as Deacon St. John, a drifter and bounty hunter who rides the broken road, fighting to survive while searching for a reason to live in this open-world action-adventure game.

Days Gone is pretty much staying at stable 60 with the lowest settings and the Steam Deck can last for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The game is running on SteamOS 3.5.7 with Proton GE-23. Days Gone supports various resolutions and due to that we can take advantage of Steam Deck’s built in FSR. I have tested various Graphical settings and resolutions and Days Gone runs best at Medium Settings and FSR enabled for resolution of 800×600

Days Gone is fantastic to play on the Steam Deck, however you are not able to aim with the trackpads out of the bat, but this can be configured with additional control scheme from Steam.
