Can the Steam Deck Run Kingdom Come Deliverance?

In this video we are taking a look at Kingdom Come Deliverance on the Steam Deck. The Deck is running on SteamOS 3.5. Kingdom Come Deliverance is a 2018 action role-playing video game developed and published by Warhorse Studios and co-published by Deep Silver. It is set in the medieval Kingdom of Bohemia, an Imperial State of the Holy Roman Empire, with a focus on historically accurate content. Kingdom Come Deliverance is a Story-driven open-world RPG that immerses you in an epic adventure. Avenge your parents’ death as you battle invading forces, go on game-changing quests, and make influential choices. Explore castles, forests, villages and other realistic settings in medieval times!

Kingdom Come Deliverance is able to stay at 55-60 FPS with the lowest settings and the Steam Deck can last for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. The game is running on SteamOS 3.5.7 with Proton GE-23. Kingdom Come Deliverance supports various resolutions and due to that we can take advantage of Steam Deck’s built in FSR. I have tested various Graphical settings and resolutions and Kingdom Come Deliverance runs better at Medium Settings and FSR enabled for resolution of 800×600, however I believe the best way to play it is to use native resolution and lowest settings. That will get you to 60 FPS most of the time.

Kingdom Come Deliverance is a pretty great experience on the Steam Deck. Sometimes the on screen buttons do not match the actual controls, but other than that I haven’t had any issues with the game.
