Valor Mortis – Steam Deck First Look – Surprising results!

In this Steam Deck technical first look, we test the Valor Mortis pre-alpha demo (October 2025 build) – a gritty Soulslike set in the French Revolution, blending Bloodborne and BioShock elements with Unreal Engine visuals.

We’re checking how it performs on the Steam Deck OLED – testing TSR, FSR, XeSS, and even lossless scaling to see which upscaler works best. FPS, stability, battery life, and controls – all covered.

💬 Let me know if you tried the playtest and how it runs for you. This is an early build, but the results are surprisingly solid for Unreal Engine.
